Orreco acquires Dame Jessica Ennis Hills, Jennis, to unite AI, Hormonal Health and Computer Vision in a breakthrough Platform for Women’s Performance
Galway / London / Miami —January 26th - Orreco, the global leader in AI-driven performance science, today announced the acquisition of Jennis, the women’s health and performance platform founded by Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, Olympic and 3x World heptathlon champion and Jane Cowmeadow, her manager.
The acquisition brings together four powerful capabilities, Orreco AI, FitrWoman®, Jennis, and DDSA computer vision to create the most advanced, women’s performance ecosystem in the world.
At the core of Orreco’s platform is its proprietary AI engine, which integrates biological, biomechanical and high performance data to deliver actionable performance insights.
By embedding Jennis’s Intellectual property and DDSA’s elite computer-vision technology into this AI framework, Orreco now offers an end-to-end view of female performance from hormones to training, nutrition and movement to performance outcomes.
Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, Co-Founder of Jennis said; “Orreco has made huge advances with its data driven, and AI powered technology. I believe this is the perfect home for the work we have done to date at my start-up Jennis into the personalised impact of hormonal cycles on athletic performance. I am really excited about the Orreco vision and success in the elite women’s sports space. I’m delighted to join their team at this very exciting time to help open more conversations with sportswomen and teams”.
One Integrated AI Platform — Built for Women’s Physiology and Health
Orreco’s ecosystem now brings together:
Orreco AI – the intelligence layer that fuses biomarkers, training load, recovery, movement and contextual data to inform performance readiness and injury risk.
FitrWoman® – Orreco’s flagship female-performance platform, trusted by more than 25 Olympic medallists, including England’s Lionesses, Allison Schmitt the most decorated US female swimmer in history, the US Women’s National Soccer Team (USWNT) and USA Swimming, WNBA, NWSL and WSL teams helping athletes and teams understand how menstrual cycle phases may affect performance on an individual basis, recovery and nutrition.
Jennis – hormone-intelligent health, education and lifestyle content designed to close the gender data gap and empower women far beyond elite sport.
DDSA Computer Vision – AI-powered movement analysis founded by performance data scientist Shane Liyanage, utilized by World No.1 and Grand Slam Champion tennis player Aryna Sabalenka, providing precise biomechanical and technical insights at scale.
Together, these components create a continuous, AI-powered feedback loop, linking female hormonal health, movement quality, physiological responses and performance output.
“This is not a collection of tools — it’s a single intelligence platform,” said Dr. Brian Moore, Co-Founder & CEO of Orreco. “By uniting Orreco AI with FitrWoman, Jennis IP and DDSA computer vision, we are redefining how women’s performance is measured, understood and optimised.”
Proven in Elite Sport, Built to Scale Globally
Dame Jessica added “As an elite athlete every marginal gain is critical to be the best and with the incredible advances Orreco has made with their @thlete platform and the potential to apply this to their work with elite sportswomen, and teams is a game changer “
Orreco’s AI-driven approach is already embedded in elite environments, supporting Olympic programmes and professional teams worldwide. Female athletes such as Allison Schmitt, one of the most decorated swimmers in Olympic history, have relied on Orreco’s science-backed insights to optimise training and recovery across Olympic cycles.
The acquisition follows strong strategic momentum for Orreco, including a $4M Series A extension with participation from Mark Cuban and Enterprise Ireland, reinforcing investor confidence in Orreco’s AI-first vision and its leadership in applied performance science. Orreco is also part of Comcast NBCUniversal's SportsTech strategic innovation portfolio and is an alumnus of its 2025 cohort.
“Women’s physiology has historically been overlooked completely” Moore added. “Our AI is different — it learns from women-specific data curated over a decade, including movement patterns, wearable data and hormonal signals, enabling smarter decisions, better performance and outcomes for women. We are already the choice of champions."
Why This Matters
This acquisition signals a fundamental shift in women’s health and sport: from fragmented solutions to a unified, AI-powered intelligence platform built specifically for women.
By combining hormonal health IP (Jennis), menstrual-cycle intelligence (FitrWoman), biomechanics (DDSA computer vision) and Orreco’s AI analytics, the company is setting a new global benchmark for female performance in elite sport, healthcare, and consumer wellbeing.
